GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for Electrical equipment within the facility.
Ensure that all equipment used is always in safe working order.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping.
Must be proficient in applied math and electrical knowledge.
Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance.
Troubleshooting failures & malfunctioning equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment with minimal production downtime.
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals and detailed drawings related to specific machinery or equipment to determine work procedures.
Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical principles.
Work as a Team Member in all situations.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Licensed Electrician
Grade 12 Diploma
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with safety devices and legislated codes.
Exercises independent judgment / decision making.
Able to read Blueprints.
Good analytical skills for failure detection and problem solutions.
