GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for maintaining clean and functional tooling.
Ensure that all equipment used is always in safe working order.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain all Pipe Extrusion and Belling tools in terms of storage, repair and re-chroming.
Clean extrusion and belling tools using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
Prepare all tooling production according to the production schedule.
If needed to help and assist in the general maintenance department.
Maintain all strapping tools, repair where possible and sourcing of the spare parts requested.
Able to work alone or in a team on minor repairs of extrusion and belling tooling.
Able to work alone or in a team to identify and realize improvements of plant equipment.
Coordinate and complete special projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Inform Maintenance Supervisor of damaged or re-chroming needs of pipe tooling.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Machinal background
Grade 12 Diploma
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experienced in welding practices and techniques, but licencing is not requested.
Technical knowledge of mechanical and numatic devices and their functions.
Knowledge of the operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the area of work assigned.
Profound and in-depth knowledge of the machinery and equipment installed in the plant.
