GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for maintaining clean and functional tooling.

• Ensure that all equipment used is always in safe working order.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain all Pipe Extrusion and Belling tools in terms of storage, repair and re-chroming.

• Clean extrusion and belling tools using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.

• Prepare all tooling production according to the production schedule.

• If needed to help and assist in the general maintenance department.

• Maintain all strapping tools, repair where possible and sourcing of the spare parts requested.

• Able to work alone or in a team on minor repairs of extrusion and belling tooling.

• Able to work alone or in a team to identify and realize improvements of plant equipment.

• Coordinate and complete special projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Inform Maintenance Supervisor of damaged or re-chroming needs of pipe tooling.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Machinal background

• Grade 12 Diploma

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experienced in welding practices and techniques, but licencing is not requested.

• Technical knowledge of mechanical and numatic devices and their functions.

• Knowledge of the operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the area of work assigned.

• Profound and in-depth knowledge of the machinery and equipment installed in the plant.
